llleoOur greetings are in order for Leonardo DiCaprio, who walked away with the Best Actor award on Sunday night.

Although Hollywood leading star was nominated for Oscars five times but couldn’t achieve the award as yet.

Despite a career full of great performances, Leonardo DiCaprio has never won an Oscar. This is a fact that has inspired countless Internet memes as people campaign for the actor. It doesn’t matter that DiCaprio has three Golden Globes to his name. His fans want him to win an Academy Award and they will not rest until he’s on the Oscar stage accepting one.

Celebrities alike and Leo’s fans have been championing Leonardo DiCaprio’s cause, calling for the actor to finally be presented with an Oscar this year, having lost out on five previous nominations. His main “groupie” and number one supporter seems to be his Titanic co-star Kate Winslet, who has openly said that she thinks 2016 is “Leo’s year”.

leoHis Titanic co-star Kate Winslet predicted that 2016 is “Leo’s year” as she told the BBC at the Critics’ Choice Award: “I think you can sort of feel it and I think that everyone wants it for him. It would just be amazing. I think that, you know, you can sort of feel the temperature – it’s probably going to be Leo’s year.”

Leonardo’s triumph comes after the actor won a Golden Globe and a Critics’ Choice Award last month for his stellar performance.

Following his double victory, fans had speculated that Leonardo would snatch Sunday night’s BAFTA and possibly even an Oscar later this month, having lost out on five previous Academy Award nominations.

There are even rumors, DiCaprio’s female admirers in Russia’s Far East have organized an “Oscar for Leo” initiative. Participants are donating their own personal jewelry, which will be melted and sculpted into an Oscar statue. The pieces of silver and gold will take the approximate shape of an Academy trophy, with a few modifications. Instead of a gold man holding a sword, it will be a silver man holding a golden “choron” (a traditional three-legged Yakut goblet). In addition, the head will be looking up instead of down.
